BITS AND PIECES: summer lovin'

Listening: i went to this music seminar the other day and the speaker said something like.. if you enjoy music you have to listen to more than one genre (i knew that). so lots of tunes i don't usually listen to are on my playlist at the moment. i'm giving trance a try, starting with paul van dyk, ATB, and tiësto. and to reward my open-mindedness i dance to joy division, just like the wombats do!



Watching: went to see UP in 3D on premier night (taiwan premier that is), makes me go awwwwwww <3 also, finally watched trainspotting the movie and revolutionary road. i really want to hurry the effff up and finish watching season 2 of flight of the conchords but just can't seem to find the time.

Wearing: feeling uninspired these days, maybe i should go shopping.

Reading: darkly dreaming dexter by jeff lindsay. no, not the showtime original series, but the actual book. i haven't read a novel for the longest time and find this read quite enjoyable. the character dexter is totally growing on me! such an enjoyable sociopath.

Wanting: my black hair back. weird.

On My Mind: i really am so enjoying this nasty sweltering taipei city august. NOT!

BITS AND PIECES: mental blogging block

while there was so much i wanted to post about this week, i somehow found myself in this mental blogging block and just couldn't write. so excuse the point form.

+ i already miss los angeles, but can't freaking wait for new york. oh i haven't mentioned my trip have i? yes i will be in new york next week, which is damned exciting. i'm the luckiest girl on the west coast (or am i not?) and i can't help but rub it in a little.

+ if you haven't seen flight of the conchords you should because you're missing out. kiwis' are so in these days! bret (one of the guys in the show) has a creepy hotness to him now that he has facial hair.

+ been having trouble falling asleep lately and i still blame that movie little children, starring kate winslet and patrick wilson, for it. the scene where ronnie jerked off in that sweet girl's car totally creeped me out.

+ it's official. of montreal is on my favourite bands ever list.

+ new want: a spanish guitar, okay i know i said i wanted a daisy rock not long ago, so what? maybe i want both.

+ as i was flipping through the channels last night (i couldn't sleep and was not in the mood to read), i stumbled upon this movie called cellular, which i watched on DVD with my cousin like 4 years ago. and there he was, my ex-rugged-good-looking-in-a-weird-way-infatuation/imaginary-lover jason statham, as the bad guy. i can't believe i didn't notice him back in 2004. this totally can be added to the long list of shitty movies he's done. i mean i love the guy i still do, but come on! you have got to man up and do one decent film.

+ i'm being a total brat but i want someone to say something so insightful and witty, it blows me away.
