MIXTAPE: springtime feel-good songs or not

spring's finally here woop! some tunes for you lovelies to bask in springtime.

sebastien tellier- divine

i love this video. did you guys know that sebastien tellier represented france at the eurovision contest last year? it's a very pleasant surprise because.. umm hello? did you see all the other eurovision participants? if you haven't, do yourself a favour and go on youtube to check out some clips, i guarantee you laughter, and possibly tears! say... can someone possibly die from cheesiness?

hey ocean - a song about california

not exactly my cup of tea but it's cute enough and spring-y! ahhhh do i miss california!

manchester orchestra - wolves at night & sleeper 1972

i have said it a million times and i will say it again, manchester orchestra is amazing. this performance is absolutely profound. you know, one of those that can change someone's life forever?

okay dudes, go listen to this song right here (preferably with your eyes closed, they don't have an official video yet and i can't find a music file for the song so do bare with the video)! do it, do it now! take my word you won't regret it.

wasn't it amazing? i thought that was wonderful too. told you you wouldn't regret it! i always always love it when my ipod shuffles and plays me this song.

BITS AND PIECES: mental blogging block

while there was so much i wanted to post about this week, i somehow found myself in this mental blogging block and just couldn't write. so excuse the point form.

+ i already miss los angeles, but can't freaking wait for new york. oh i haven't mentioned my trip have i? yes i will be in new york next week, which is damned exciting. i'm the luckiest girl on the west coast (or am i not?) and i can't help but rub it in a little.

+ if you haven't seen flight of the conchords you should because you're missing out. kiwis' are so in these days! bret (one of the guys in the show) has a creepy hotness to him now that he has facial hair.

+ been having trouble falling asleep lately and i still blame that movie little children, starring kate winslet and patrick wilson, for it. the scene where ronnie jerked off in that sweet girl's car totally creeped me out.

+ it's official. of montreal is on my favourite bands ever list.

+ new want: a spanish guitar, okay i know i said i wanted a daisy rock not long ago, so what? maybe i want both.

+ as i was flipping through the channels last night (i couldn't sleep and was not in the mood to read), i stumbled upon this movie called cellular, which i watched on DVD with my cousin like 4 years ago. and there he was, my ex-rugged-good-looking-in-a-weird-way-infatuation/imaginary-lover jason statham, as the bad guy. i can't believe i didn't notice him back in 2004. this totally can be added to the long list of shitty movies he's done. i mean i love the guy i still do, but come on! you have got to man up and do one decent film.

+ i'm being a total brat but i want someone to say something so insightful and witty, it blows me away.

LOOKIE HERE: what do news anchors do on commercial breaks?

some serious choreography right there. i wonder which one of them started it? it's totally rad!
